A regional architecture practice, Dibello Architects, PLLC is known for its vernacular, traditional, and classically influenced homes in town, on ranches, and by lakes and rivers throughout Texas.
We specialize in designing new homes that evoke the timeless character of an old house. Our designs grow out of a vision for a family legacy that is rooted to a place, shaped by memories, and an open book for a family`s story to unfold.
We pursue clarity and simplicity as the design approach for our work. This pursuit is guided by the conviction that beauty and harmony are often best found in patterns of traditional, vernacular and classical architecture.
We believe that the regional context matters - that new buildings and additions to old buildings should be harmonious with their neighbors.
We believe that traditional building forms are often naturally sustainable, and we embrace straightforward strategies for reducing energy costs.
Our design work is driven by the client`s goals and dreams for their project, as well as the uniqueness of each program and site.
The firm is organized to provide services to clients who want to be closely involved in the process. Each project is directed by Principal Dale Dibello with a Project Designer / Team Leader providing design, management, and on-going communication from concept through completion of construction.
We value quality over quantity. Our designs for new homes, remodels, and additions follow the tenets of the Not So Big House. They are sensibly designed homes that meet modern needs and feature clarity of circulation; natural light and strong connection to outdoor spaces; covered porches; appropriate scale; careful massing; clear hierarchy; sustainable materials; and respect for the building site.
