At SAIKLEY ARCHITECTS our aim is to create beautiful places that will be loved by the people who use them. We feel that beauty in architecture comes from the harmony of all parts of the design forming a coherent whole, where each part is also beautiful in itself. We work with color, pattern, materials, and natural and artificial light to intensify the beauty of the spaces. Physical comfort, sounds, and tactile qualities also contribute to the experience of beauty. Our firm brings a strong commitment to green architecture - sustainable design and healthy environments - to each project, and we have extensive experience in historic preservation as well as new construction. We take budgets and schedules seriously and have a good track record for meeting them. There is no charge for an initial consultation. In the past, principal Alexandra Saikley has worked on a broad range of project types, with budgets ranging from five thousand to twenty million dollars. In addition, she has renovated two of her own Craftsman homes, doing much of the construction work herself, which has given her a hands-on understanding of construction.
