Home Professionals Directory

It's time for a different kind of house. A house that is more than square footage: a house that is Not So Big, where each room is used every day. The Not So Big House isn't just a small house. Rather, it's a smaller house, filled with special details and designed to accommodate the lifestyles of its occupants. The Home Professionals Directory is comprised of those who embrace the Not So Big philosophy.

About Our Company:

Byggmeister (Scandinavian for `master builder`) is a residential remodeling company founded in 1983. We like to think of ourselves as home fixers: our clients come to us with common home problems and we provide effective, elegant, long-lasting solutions. Whether it`s an outdated kitchen or bathroom, a damp basement, cramped or awkward living space, thermal discomfort, runaway energy costs, or some combination of these—we can and have solved it.

In 2000, we started focusing on design-build, a process that enables us—indeed, forces us—to be accountable for every aspect of the project, from initial schematic plans through construction to warranty follow-up. That remains our current model: we strive to be the most accountable remodeling firm you will ever do business with. Especially when it comes to `green`: we`re the only remodelers we know of who actually measure the environmental impacts of our work over time. We like to think we put the `count` back in `accountability.`

The homes we work on represent a priceless heritage passed down to us by generations of talented craftspeople and proud homeowners. Our role and responsibility is to carry this legacy forward: to adapt dated, inefficient, and disfunctional, but otherwise solidly-built structures to meet the needs of their 21st century occupants.
